Well a little bit of rain didn't hold us back! We went out and found an old barn, with cows inside... Nice hey hahaa. After the cows left us.. I thanked them... and we had some fun! Hero's In The Sky - Sept 11, 2010

I know this post should have been put up sooner, but with the passing of Donkey and being busy with lots of Photo session I didn't have time to put it up. On September 11th, 2010 SFD members had a fund raiser at the shoppers drug store. They put on a BBQ and tried to sell their Fire calenders. Some of the memebers were located on the top of the roof of the drug store and were suppose to stay up there for 24hrs. Since my brother is on the local fire deptment, I went down there for support and of course to take some photos.

RIP Donkey 15/09/05 - 14/09/10

A little over 2 months ago Donkey started limping around the house. She didn't show any pain, but I took her into vet. There was no signs of a broken bone, so we placed her on some pain medication and would see how she does. Donkey was a tough cookie, she was doing alot better with the medication. But then two weeks later she went down hill again, this time she wasn't using her back leg as much. X-rays didn't show anything, nor did the blood work. So we decided to put her on some more medication for another two weeks, then she would go see a specialist. Well this past weekend I noticed her leg swell up like a balloon, coughing up blood and she started acting lethargic. So I got her into the vet ASAP. They did another x-ray, showing a large tumor. She had Osteosarcoma (a bone tumor), which develops deep within the bone and becomes painful as it grows outward and destroys the bone from the inside out. There wasn't much left to her actual bone and had already spread to her lungs. So that night we had her at home, and the entire family came over to say goodbye. Then today we took her back to the vets. I am greatful to have gotten her for my Birthday 5 years ago. We went through some tough times together, good times and many adventures. Donkey was at my side day in day out! Not a moment will go by that I don't think about the crazy these she did and how much she made us laugh! That was who is was and we loved her! She was the most gentle, lovely pup ever, and only wanted to loved in return! I can say that she was loved and left a paw print in everyone's heart! RIP Baby Girl... Donkey, DQ Padonkadonk, Big girl, Donkey Kong!

It's hard to believe that these badlands are just in our back yard. My cousin and I wanted to get together for a photo safari, so we thought we would meet up in Drumheller! I had a great time with Nicole, Mark and Elizabeth yesterday. We met up at the Shriner stable's in Calgary. It was so peaceful and quiet there, you wouldn't even think that you are in the city. Happy Engagement Mark and Nicole! Hope to see you guys again!Elizabeth with some horses at the stable.

On August 28th, 2010 One of the greatest couples tied the knot! Jamie and Donnie got married outside of Strathmore on a beautiful day! They had an outdoor wedding, which many friends and family attended. I was honored to be a guest at their wedding and to share their special day!

I am so excited to announce my newest photo session! It's the BEAUTY SESSION! When I made a post on my FB page, I had 14 bookings in less then an hour! Well with this promo, you can't beat the price and the experience! My friend Charmaine is a make-up artist and is getting her side business going so I asked her if we could team up for this session. She of course jumped on board!! I wanted to get some pictures done up, so everyone who is interested would know who will be doing their make-up and what it might look like. Since Charmaine's mother was getting married on Saturday, I was able to go to the hotel and snap some shoots! Here is a little pre-beauty photos!

My little cousin was visiting the other day and I asked her if I could take her out and take photos of her. She thought that would be fun so off we went for a mini photo session. What a great little model she was! Megan loves to dance and pose, so she just had a blast showing me all her moves!!

A day of Harley's and Hot Rods

Underground Performance hosted their annual Charity poker run in July. The day started off with a breakfast, which was held at the shop. Then all the harley's and hot rods road off in directions to go to surrounding bars. Afterwards they met back at the AG Grounds to see who had the best poker hand. Also not to mention a biniki bike wash, a great meal, a silent auction, live auction and a great band!

WID Golf Tournament

WID hosted their annually golf tournament at Speargrass golf course this August. So I was asked to take pictures for them. The weather wasn't the best for a day of golf, but all the golfers didn't seem to mind. I was sitting at the "Hole in One" hole taking pictures. Love For A Newborn!

When I am asked to take maternity photos I am usually asked to come back and take new born photos. I love taking maternity photos because you can feel the excitment of the couple. It is always fun to hear what they think the sex of the baby will be (if they don't already know), the weight of the baby, and whether or not the baby will come sooner then later... Mom's always want the baby to come sooner haha. Well when Katie asked me to come take her maternity photos, she jumped on board for the newborn photos too! This made me excited since I was not only going to hear about their predictions, but i get to meet the little one as well! Started with a KISS.....

Since Katie and Richard didn't know the sex of the baby we did some "girl" and "boy" photos. Katie was ready for their new arrival to come out soon!!

And she did!! On July 21st 2010 Norah Browne was born! What a a proud Daddy she has!

I was really honored when I was asked to do Kelly Anne's and Brent's wedding. What a beautiful day it ended up being since there was suppose to be Thundershower that afternoon. We planned ahead though and got all the outdoor pictures done in the early afternoon, before the guest arrived. We went to two fun locations that the bride and groom picked out and got some beautiful lovebird pictures. The day went right as planned after that, having a lovely ceremony, champagne and a dinner to follow. Thanks for the great day!

Family Time

In July I went out to Buffalo Lake with Matt and his family. It was great to get away for the weekend and spend the time with family. There was so much to do out at the cabin and only a short amount of time.

Albert Dutka Memorial

At the beginning of June, I went up to Morinville for the weekend for a good cause! I took part in the Albert Dutka Memorial Slow-Pitch Tournament. Over $16,000 was raised for Canadian Cancer Society that weekend! Everyone had seemed to have a great time!

One of the other high lights of the weekend was the head shaving. Ryan Dutka and some other close teammates shaved their heads for cancer.

Ryan's brother and mother had took turns to shave his head!

Great Time Out In Banff

Carlene and I decided to head out to Banff for the afternoon and do a photo session. It was still a bit chilly out, but we made it work. Poor Carlene was just getting over a cold, but she was a real trooper.. Thanks goodness I didn't make her climb the mountain hahaa. "NO HIKING SARAH!"

The best part about this picture was when I told Carlene to lay down on the moss. I told her it would be an awesome photo. She couldn't see it though, but she laid down and I snapped away. Yes i did help her get all the twigs out of her hair :)

Matt and I attended Tiffany and Rob's wedding on the weekend! It was a beautiful wedding!!! The weather wasn't the greatest, but everything worked out great! Rob and Tiff make a beautiful couple!

All I can say is WOW!!!! Here is my next top model! I travelled to Sylvan Lake this month and had great photo session with Miss Kennidy! She is not only beautiful, she is as sweet as GOLD! I can`t wait to do more photo shoots with this lovely girl! I got lots of great shots with Kennidy, but honestly how could I not with someone who is flawless :) Here are a few of my favorite photos!

Olympics 2010

I can't believe how addicted I am about the Olympic Games!!! I just love watching all the games and get a little stressed when one of Canada's team members are racing for GOLD!! I think having the Olympic games in Canada makes everything extra special!! Winning a medal on your home grounds must be an amazing feeling, I know I get a a tear... or two in my eyes when a Canadian wins!! I know its been years since Canada has hosted the games, and I can still remember seeing the torch relay come into our community. I didn't get to attend any of the events, since I was only 6 years old. But I still have some of the Souvenirs and I had to bring them out!!! To make 2010 Olympics even for speical, I was asked to take some photos of my friend`s cousin who had been running across Canada with the Torch. What a special day for the community and the families!! Here are some of the photos from the event!!

Look how much the torch has changed!! I remember standing on the side of the highway wanting the Olympic torch to light my candled torch!!

Last week I met up with Lindsey and her daughter Kate. It was a lot of fun playing with Kate, even though she was very tired. Number 1 rule for taking photos of childrem: When you want them to nap early so they are all cheerful when it's time for pictures, they won't nap!! haha. Any other day they will nap at the right times and wake up all cheerful. But on that one special day, they must feed off from the parents and don't want to nap until 15 mins before the photo shoot! Well you work with what you got and try to get them to smile! Here's how they turned out! Thanks again Lindsey and Kate! I hope to see you again!

Well January was sure a busy month for me! And for other families! Everywhere I look or hear someone is pregnant or just had a new baby. This makes me happy because I: 1) LOVE LOVE New Babies.. and 2) I get to take pictures of more new babies! I am slowly learning how to get those little ones to pose, and how to get the parents to hold them a certain way. I have realized that some little ones don't like to be naked, so turn up that HEAT! And most of all, watch out for those little bathroom breaks. Which isn't so bad if they are wearing a diaper, but if they aren't.... LOOK OUT! haha. Well now that February is here, I hope to have some more fun with some new borns! Here is a few pictures from a new arrival, only two weeks old and the sweetest little boy Jack.

When I decided to start doing photography, I told myself that I would do it as long as I am having fun! It's only been a few months, and I can tell you that I am having a blast!! Capturing that moment of laughter, smiles, or love brings a smile to my own face. I was so happy when Kristi asked me to take some pictures of her one year old girl!! I have been trying to build up my portfolio with lots of different types of pictures. I had so much fun doing it and just wanted to get out there and take some more pictures. Everytime I am driving or walking I am searching for a new place to take pictures at. Either for a great place to take people out to for pictures or just a beautiful landscape.

The Peter Lougheed Park had a lot of great views. This one place I would love to take some couples or families for some pictures. There was so many interesting view and backgrounds to play with.

Most of us have driven past this old building or ones like this many times. Just never having the time to stop and capture it was another story.

So finally I was able to stop, and made sure I had my camera with me. From the looks of it, you never know when it might not be still standing.

I even had a special person who wanted to model this old falling down building. Thanks Dad!!

Baby Justice

Only five days old and I was able to meet the newest addition to our Carr family! Baby Justice Robert Scarff. He is such a beautiful baby, and I was lucky to be able to take some of his new born pictures. I hope to get some more in the New Year!! Congratulations Rosalind, Jay and Kristjan!

I met up with Trina, Scott and the girls before the Christmas holidays and took their family photos. It was alot of fun since it was very casual and in their beautiful, cozy home!!

The Fauth's 2009

This past weekend I was able to get out to the Fauth's farm and take some family pictures for them. Amber is home for the holiday's so it was a great time to do them. It was a little chilly out but we made it through them without losing anyone hehe:) I hope to get out there in the spring for Taylor's grad pictures!!!

Decembers Been BUSY!

My Photography has been getting busy in December. I have been doing photos every weekend, and will still be doing some right up until Christmas Eve. I have been getting alot of experience with children and families! I am finding the more I do the more excited I am to go out and take the pictures. I have two paying clients so far and then starting January 2010 I will be charging $50 a session. The session will include approx. 1hr of picture taking, then hours of my photoshopping. Then a final disc for you to decide what pictures you want to print. I hope you enjoy these new pictures :)

I recently was able to take picture for a friend and her little girl. I have been very thankful for the nice weather. Not very often that we get nice weather in November, but everything worked out for the best. Enjoy the pictures.

I am so happy that I was asked to take my cousin's engagement photo's!! We went down to victoria park in Calgary and took some pictures at the rundle ruins. I am greatful that I was able to play with a few different poses and was able to include the dogs :)

I have recently started looking at photography at a different level. I have always been camera happy, and loved taking protraits of people! Last month my sister and I took a "basic photography course and since then I have taken photography to a different level. I am always on the look out to see what i can take a picture of and how to take the picture. So I decided to start this blog site so I can show off some pictures ;)
